An Oregon cannabis dispensary will be adding a free pizza to marijuana deliveries this weekend to celebrate the Super Bowl. The Mt. Hood Cannabis Company, located in Rhododendron, Oregon, is offering a free cheese or pepperoni pizza with purchases of a half-ounce of cannabis flower.
Devin Houston, the director of marketing for the dispensary, said in a press release that pizza with pot seemed like a great way to promote the company’s cannabis delivery service.
“We were enjoying a joint and a slice of Mogul Mountain pizza while brainstorming marketing opportunities for our dispensary when it hit us,” said Houston in a statement. “Let’s announce our new weed delivery with free pizza, and what better way to kick it off than over Super Bowl weekend. Our shop works really hard to engage the local business community and since their pizza was so inspirational, partnering with Mogul Mountain Pizza was a no brainer.”
Mt. Hood Cannabis has partnered with the local pizzeria, which will provide take-and-bake pizzas to the dispensary. Customers who purchase a half-ounce of flower (starting at just 50 bucks) Feb. 1-3 will receive their choice of a cheese or pepperoni pizza at no extra charge to pop in the oven at home.
Houston told High Times that the plan should do well for the dispensary and the customers.
“That way they have time to roll a joint, get baked, and the pizza’s ready to enjoy,” he said.
Houston said he believes that local grower Terra Canna Farm’s recent harvest of the strain Hawaiian Dutch, testing at 26 percent THC, will pair particularly well with pizza. The offer is available for both delivery orders and purchases made at the retail location.
